Merry Christmas!
For a CHILD IS BORN to us, and a son is given to us,
and the government is upon His shoulder:
and His name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, God the Mighty,
the Father of the world to come, the Prince of Peace.
His empire shall be multiplied, and there shall be no end of peace:
He shall sit upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom;
to establish it and strengthen it with judgment and with justice,
from henceforth and for ever: the zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Isaiah 9: 6-7
My wish for today is that all of you can share the day with family and friends. May your houses be filled with warmth and your tables be heavy with all good and tasty foods. And whatever your circumstances, may your hearts be filled with the peace, wonder and awe of the Christmas season.

Larry:
Thanks for portraying and speaking about the real Christmas on your website.
As they say; from me and mine – to you and yours – a very Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Larry! Most people don’t know the prophet Isaiah knew about Messiah’s birth about 700 years before it happened. Thanks for sharing and reminding us of the reason for the season.

Hey, Ken!
We gave the middle name Isaiah to our son Jeffrey because he was “prophesied” by the OB-GYN for the 19th of December by C-Section appointment. My wife and I thought Isaiah was appropriate since Jeffrey was to be born during the Christmas season and the doctor and my wife picked the date of birth beforehand, so she and Jeffrey would be home in time for Christmas.
But of all the silly things, people think his middle name was a tribute to NBA Guard Isiah Thomas, who made headlines when Jeff was born since the Detroit Pistons won a championship that year. (We live 80 miles east of Detroit…)
HOWEVER, Mr. Thomas’ mom spelled Isiah differently from the biblical Isaiah.
73 and Merry Christmas,
Bill – WA8MEA
Once again, thanks Larry for your boldness in proclaiming the real reason for the season.
Merry Christmas

Amen. We need to keep Christ in Christmas.
