We just graduated this mom and her two kids from our recent on-line course. The kids are age 11 and 13 and passed the written exam AND a CW endorsement with neighbour Guy VA7GI coaching them.
Congratulations and see you on the bands.

PLEASE, tell me more about this “CW endorsement.” We’re organizing what we call CodeClub for our club’s members. This includes kids. More details would be much appreciated. 73-Daryl
GOOD Deal! thank you for taking the tests and passing them!
Enjoy the learning, making antennas or talking around the world. I had helped my nephew get the license. He was in a grid square down in south west Colorado. I had a ham operator from South Carolina that wanted that grid. I took my Icom 736 and a long wire and brought the equipment to Dove Creek, Colorado.
We set up a time and the first day I talked to the fellow ham. I had tried again the next day.. nope..
I installed the Icom 706mkii and a screwdriver antenna on 3 BMW motorcycles.. the curious people in the cars would ask…”You talking to NASA?” Comments from fellow hams were “There isn’t any ground on a motorcycle to transmitt!” I have transmitted in the canyons of Colorado at 5 watts while carving the motorcycle in the twisted back roads!
