It is great that a new manufacturer has entered the amateur radio market.
Would love to win one.
This is great contest with a great prize.
Wonderful prize to pass on to someone in the club who can’t afford a reasonable priced rig like this. I have had one for a couple of weeks and really like it. It works the local repeater better than my VX-170!
Hope I win this radio! I would like to donate it to one of our new hams that can’t afford a radio yet.
Thanks for the opportunity to enter. Good Luck, Wouxon!
It’s a great little radio. Full spectrum coverage and relatively easy to program. The software reminds me of an old DOS based Motorola product but it’s still easy to use & runs on Windows 7.
Hope I win this radio!!!!!
Good idea! I could use a dual-band HT.
Great prize. My “newest” dual-band HT is 18 years old — a Yaesu FT-530.
I have had my licence for about 2 months and I could put this radio to a lot of use.
Looks like a nice dual-bander.
I could use this radio to active with the local RACES group!
Been wantin’ one of these for about a year now. It would be great to win one!
A very decent radio at a VERY decent price. Something a newly “minted” HAM can afford to get airborne.
Thanks to all who are making this offer and attracting attention to the this information resource and the radio.
Nice promotion. Hope I win 🙂
Seems like a very capable handheld.
I’m in need of UHF capabilities still, so I guess this would get my foot in the door?
Sounds great! I’ve been reading some about these radios, I think. Very generous of your sponsor.
the add is very nice i would love to have a dual band 2/440 rig i will pass the new along to all my ham friends about the giveaway thanks & good luck 73,s dennis kc9swx
Great product, I hear.
Would be great to use this winter
for emergency comms when the flood
season comes to the Pacific Northwest.
A dual band HT would be neat and useful.
Many inquire of the quality these HT’s and products. Now is good way to advertise and I will expand ad to friends.
AL K2ERG

Greetings from Ohio
We started a Ham Radio Club last year at the school where I teach (NS3HS). This radio would be a great radio to loan to newly licensed members to use until they get their own. It would be a great addition to our station.
These are good radios, and Ed is a real champ!
This would be a good radio for my daughter who is studying for Tech.
Great radio, I keep hearing great things about these and can’t wait to get one myself…
I’m just starting out in HAM radio so this would be a great to win. And now I know about AmateurRadio.com so good advertising as well!
Thanks!
Awesome! This is the first time I have seen one of these given away! I hope I gwt lucky here!
I would donate it to the local club to be given to a new ham.
As a new ham this would be a very nice tool to start a go box.
I seen a Friends and looks like a very durable radio for the active ham.
I would love to have a chance to own one for myself!
Fantastic that a company supports hams.I would love to have the 2m/440 model would be great for an old retired ham. Ed
Cute little QRP HT!

I’m really curious about the construction quality of the Wouxun.
hi
Hello from Bend, OR
Word on one of the local repeaters is that this is a great ht. I have not seen one personally. But, reports are pretty good. Thanks for the opportunity. Great price by the way. That was also one of the comments: great bang for the buck.
73 from Galveston Island, Texas
Great site, really enjoy it
Looks like an interesting little radio. My current ht is an Icom IC-Q7A which is ok in a close to the repeater metro area due to its low power output. I would like to get a dual bander that puts out a little more power.
Looks like a nice radio.
that sure does look like a nice radio for a new ham like me!
Good luck everyone!
It would sure be neat to win anything and an HT well that’s the frosting on the cake!!
hi!
hamradio the best…
Would love to have this as my first radio! Thanks for offering it.
I was about to buy one of these to have a 220 radio when we go mobile to various hamfests. Before I spend any bucks, I’ll take a chance on the drawing. Besides, it looks like you folks carry these radios here in the US, so you’re a good contact in any case!
Thanks…Randy…WW7ZZ

Great ! I have heard about thee radios from ham friends around the area these radio are very popular around here in Texas and I know several friends that have purchased one.
I just purcashed a Yaesu FT 60 R which is a great radio but I would like to compare the 2 radios ure would be nice to own one of these radios to add to my Emergency communication setup.
I teach classes, Would like to see one of these radios, if any good the price is right that would allow more people to get a dual band radio
great web site
Looks like a nice radio and the price looks even better!
My club MCARC, gave the KG-UVD2 as a hamfest prize this year. I want one and would really like it to be this prize!
Great prize! I’d love to get back on 220.
I am the President of our new established Ham Radio Club. Thus far, I have purchased 5 of these radio’s for my Ham Class Students and club members. It is a GREAT radio. I am selling my Yeasu 2 meters handheld to buy one of these radio’s. I hope I can win one for myself instead.
Linked to your site from eham.net. Some interesting articles and insight here. I will be visiting often.
Tnx,
Bonnar

These are a great radio. A co-worker has one and we just gave two of these away as door prizes at our local hamfest. Maybe I can get my hands on one now. Thanks for the site and contest.

Nice website, Seen one of these radios in person. Looks nice.
I just got one of the Wouxun KG-UVD1P’s from Ed and love it. I would love to have a second to keep at work.
What a great deal!!Great website also!
This is certainly a new product.
Never saw the name, or the radio before.
Looks a little like an HT1250 by Circle-M….I like the look of this radio, plus the display looks clean and shows good user data.
I’d love to give this radio a workout on the LEO satellites, as well as some repeaters and possibly simplex work.
As a land mobile service shop, I see many different portables and mobiles come through the door, some good, some far from good(operationally speaking).
This ‘new’ item may be a perfect fit for old and new hams alike.
Not to mention a price point far lower than the name brand items currently offered.
Should make a big hit!
Very nice prize! Thanks!
Great looking little radio for a great price!!
wow a free walkie count me in….
AWESOME contest and giveaway!
Great contest for a great little radio, thanks for the opportunity to enter!

A great HT! thanks for making it available in your contest!
Great Prize. Thanks for the opportunity.
Great prize, I could use one. THANKS
great radio according to everyone I have talked to who owns one.
That is really nice radio. It’s simple to use and program. The audio is clear and loud and the stock antenna actually works! They put a lot of great features into a really small package.
Pass this around to all your new hams. These radios make getting on the air very inexpensive. Entering into this hobby has always been offset by sticker shock, but when a dual band radio costs this much life becomes easier. Besides, no monthly limit or service contract to endure, and what a great way to meet new people. 73,
This is the all around HT to carry with a purpose.
Great to see this little radio make it to the US. I know several people that have them and think they area a great radio.
What a great looking HT good luck everyone

Must the local Hams in my area own one, they are all satisfy with the products performance and price tag.
Looks like a nice radio to add to my “go” kit.
The Wouxun HT is a very nice radio. Several members of our club have them. Save one radio that arrived with a non-functioning internal microphone, all the rest are giving very good service.
73,
Andy
A new HT would be grand!

73
Brock
Looks like a nice radio
So is the UVD2 the same as a UVD1P, with the bands limited? If so I think that’s an excellent idea. I was looking at the UVD1P when my sons passed their tech exams early this year, but decided to get them each a 2M Yaesu VX-250 (for about the same price as a dual band UVD1P) so they didn’t ‘stray’.
Great little HT and good reviews. Tks/73
I’ve read good reviews of these.
My friend just purchased on of these little dual band radios at the Joplin, Mo. hamfest. They seem to be well made, on par with Icom or Yaesu. Even if I don’t win, I’ll probably buy one of these as a backup to my ft-60.
73
k3unx
Never had an HT sure do need one 73 to all
COOL HT,MAKE A GREAT DOOR PRIZE AT THE NEXT TESTING SESSION!
It looks like a nice radio. I just wonder what warranty the radio has.
What’s better than a Wouxun dual band for $107? One for free, what a great prize! Awesome radio.
Fun hobby-tell a friend.
Are these radios FCC compliant? I believe they aren’t. If they aren’t it is illegal to market or distribute them in the US. They aren’t illegal to operate or own however. You might want to look into this.
As a new ham I sure good use a HT.
Great prize! Good luck to the winner.
Why not? :~) I certainly could use one!
Sign me up!
It is a nice basic entry level dual band. I have one and will probably get another one for my daughter when she gets her license.
Good gear for a great price. Who needs a $400 HT anyway?
Checked them out at a local hamfest and they get the job done
An HT I can afford!
A friend of mine has the UVD1P. Very nice radio for the money.

Hello to all!
Maybe the big three will finally take
notice! Hats off to you and this nice
radio.
Great! I need a radio.
Wow, great opportunity. I have heard great things about these very inexpensive radios. If I don’t win, I’m going to consider purchasing one for backup / aprs / packet use.
If I am not mistaken, these radios are also type accepted for use in the public service band. This is a good tool for interop.
Awesome looking HT – thanks!
Excellent prize…so tiny and yet so versatile. This would be great to pack in the truck camper for wilderness camping where the cell reception is nill.
Hi I heard about them from guys coming back from the Dayton Hamfest but haven’t seen one in person yet. 73 Don K2DSV
Grate Prize!
I’ve been wanting one of these ever since I saw it advertised on eBay! Sure would be cool to have one! Everything I’ve read about them leads me to believe they’re every bit as good as anything else on the market. And for the price they sell for, I’d love to own a pair of ’em!
I have seen and heard, by fellow amateurs, what this radio can do. Great little unit.
I have one of Eds radios now. These are great radios. Easy to program and the battery (Li-ion) last a long time before it needs charging. I get great reports on my audio and the receive audio is better than my VX-7RB. These radios have seperate RF Finals for each band which is why I think they run so cool compared to my other HT’s. I am not related to Ed, but I just wanted to say he sells a great product for an outstanding price.

I need to win a radio
Love every Bit of Ham Radio!!!!!!!!!!
It’s good to see competing brands coming to market.
this radio looks good,tks JIM
Good Luck to All! 73
I’ve heard a lot about these HT’s, and some of the guys in our club have asked about them. I couldn’t say anything as I don’t know a lot about them. As a tech Specialist and VE we have too many new hams who start out with no gear, this HT would be ideal, and could also be used as a teaching tool for new and those in licensing classes.

I’ve been thinking about a ne HT this would be great.
I have the 2M/220 version of this rig and it’s definitely better than I ever thought it would be. It’s a tad awkward to “program” but the software is free and the cable is the same one as my Kenwood TH6.
Neato little HT! Thanks for having a contest to alert us to it.
I saw the ad on QRZ.com everybody is on QRZ.com

Hello,
73!
K8ELR
Nice ht, I like the size to. Wish all well on the drawing.
TRYING TO WIN THIS RADIO, I HAVE NEVER WON ANYTHING BEFORE!!
I know someone who has one of these units and it’s really well built. I talk to him on the repeater and the sound quality is comparable to my Yaesu.
This handy little HT would make a addition to my skywarn afforts.
It would make a good “go bag” radio
I hope these products do good here! I have been looking for an alternative to the inflated prices of Kenwood and Icom. I run a school radio club that meets after school, and we sure could use one of these!
Thanks
Bill Richardson

Just ran across this site. Will definitely be back.
Looks like a good rig, I’ve been trying to find an inexpensive dual band HT for awhile now.
Nice Site!!
I already have one and it works OK. Wouldn’t mind having another. Programming cable and software is a must have item.. Manual is challenging
Great prize for some lucky ham.
I own one of these units and it is a great, solid radio that performs at, or above my expectations.
Nice looking HT.
I saw this radio at Dayton 2010 but was not sure.. After that I have heard a lot about it.

I’ve never heard of this radio, would like to see how it operates.
Add me to the I wanna list!
That’s cool. I remember when Alinco was the “new kid” in town.
Let’s see how the these properly priced rigs will make their mark.
I’d like to win this for my husband.

I could loan this one out. Many of our Public Service events are run on 70 cm and not everybody has a handheld for the band.
A couple of friends own these and they just rave about them. Nice rigs, wich I had one.
this unit,i.e., the prize, wud be good for a repeater for one band in, the other out. tnx joe
Great Prize, I would love an HT with 440 on it!
VERY NICE RIG. NICE TO SEE YOU GIVE THIS AWAY WHEN WE ARE ALL HAVING A HARD TIME WITH MONEY RIGHT NOW.

My birthday is in September! Hope I can win a new Wouxun dual band radio! I’ve tried one of these radios, and they perform as well as the expensive name brands! 73
i love mine wished all my friends had the wouxon too
I sure could use a modern dual band HT. This is a great giveaway and the Wouxun looks like a real nice little rig packed with many features.
I appreciate the chance to win this rig and I shall wish myself good luck. Hi Hi.
Thank you AmateurRadio.com and thank you W4KMA for the drawing!
Three of the new techs mfrom our class have these radios and are very impressed. My handheld is elderly, ’85 vintage; would be nice to have a newer (smaller) one.
I really enjoy reading your blog….this drawing is a nice touch!
Just Found this site, and it has lots of neat information.
Thanks,Now maybe I can retire my FT-208R. “It’s a Brick”!

These Wouxun Radios seem really cool!
Great idea for a giveaway — I’ve read good reviews about the HT, but missed seeing the booth at Dayton this year — the booth was there, I just missed it.

Please enter me. Thanks!
A great radio for ARES and Public Service work.
Hi radio friend!
As an enthusiastic radio operator I do like all kind of communication!
I wish I could have a HT during my walking with my dog; as a diabetic sometimes I am aware of some insecureness.
Greetings from Holland (Europe)
Jan Peverelli
I would like to win this nice radio. 73 Oli
Just found your website. I have added it to my favorites. winning the HT would be great but the website is worth the trip without any prizes. Thanks for the chance and i will be referring back to the site often.
Dan/NØFPE
I already own two Wouxun HT’s and both serve me well. They’re packed full of features, rugged and I get unsolicited reports of good audio. All this at a price the ‘Yaecommwoods” manufacturers can’t touch.
I hope they offer some sort of HF rig in the future. I’ll definitely buy one!
Regards,
Joe Cro N3IBX
Nice specs with a great price point. I look forward to the drawing… Tnx
Nice prize I hope to win it!
Interesting radio
Nice new radio, would be nice to see more of them.
I also think that we need some new ideas, just look at the cars, coming from all over the world.
how boring would it be, with only one kind of car? (TV etc)
Welcome on the market!
Looks like a really nice handheld! Thanks for making this possible.

Steve W4SEF
Have seen these type of radios that friends have bought.they do the trick for inexpensive ham radio
Please let me win!
HI
great offer.
tnx WES
I’ve heard nothing but good about these radios.
I know a radio-less ham who could use this..
I’ve heard much about this radio. It would be fun to try one out…especially at no cost.
Wouxun has entered the market with a big bang and a terrific product line.
I have one 2/220 it works well. I leave it speak in chinese as a conversation starter with Ham and NON hams.
LOOKS LIKE A NICE LITTLE RIG. I COULD ONE HERE AROUND THE HOUSE.
CHRIS
Hearing good things about this product. True priority channel scanning and the price are big attractors. Good luck to us all. Jer/KA7G
Looks like a very nice HT. I plan on looking at one at the Shelby hamfest.
This site is just what I have been looking for. Thank you for putting so much ham radio information in one place. Tnx es 73 NØHWY
Great radio! I currently own one and like all of its features.
From what I’ve read. This could very well be the best HT on the market today.
I have 3 of them! 2, 144/220 models and 1, 144/440 radio. They work great! Not one problem with any of them. I bought an extra battery and a duel slot rapid charger also. There is very few 220mhz radios on the market and NO other 220/144 mhz radios available. They work GREAT, and the price can’t be beat! People talk about how poorly made chinese stuff is made, not Wouxun! They seem to be made just as good as any other ham radio. I totaly recommend them, especialy if you are looking for 220mhz. So go get yourself a wouxun and get on the air cheaply! Hope to hear all of you on 220mhz! Thanks wouxun for comming out with a product the big 3 refuse to make and giving us another choice for 220mhz, it will give that bank the boost it needs!
I could work Hamsats for the first time. Ok I’m going to buy the cross yagi antenna, I feel lucky today !
This is a great prize. I could use it for ARES work in out county.
A friend of mine has one of these. It is a great HT. Quality rig.
My husbands friend has one of these radios and absolutely loves it.
I have been reading about this new radio.
Sounds very interesting with good reviews.
Just what I need for working the birds.
Pretty good price at $107 for a dual band HT!
Haven’t seen any reviews on eham.net yet.
I’ve been looking for a new HT to add to my selection… Looks like a nice dual-bander.
I have not been able to get on the air with a handheld in at least 15 years and I could really appreciate getting on the air again with this rig!
Time to replace my 25 year old Kenwood.
I found you by chance while in qrz. I enjoyed reading your articles and so I subscribed. Looking foreward to the next issue. 73 Chuck wd9gte
I can certainly use a new HT. It is great that a fellow ham is giving one away. Thanks
73-wb2tk
All the hams I know can always use a new radio!
Regards
A nice prize, thanks for the chance to enter. I would give this to a young ham or ham on a limited income. Thanks again! Richy N2ZD
A very nice prize.
OUR CLUB, GLENN AMATEUR RADIO SOCIECTY (KJ6HCG) HAS BEEN BUYING SOME OF THESE HAND HELDS FOR OUR NEW HAMS TO GET STARTED. THE NEW OWNERS ARE VERY PLEASED AND IF I WIN I WILL DONATE MINE TO A NEW HAM. THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a pretty good raido with only one draw back the manual. However once understood is pretty easy to program, and use.
If I am the winner the raido will be donated to a new ham.
Just what I wanted!!! Thank you.
Thanks for another ham radio publication!
hope it is easy to program
ok
It was suggested that we give some of these radios for door prizes at one of our hamfests. I’ll have to look into it since I am not familar with the radio however the comments above seem very favorable and at the price, we could give more than 10 rigs away for the same money.
hi,
this is nice that a prize like this ht is going to some lucky amateur radio operator good luck everyone
Looking forward to win this Radio
I need a good HT. Gotta Win.
What a great idea-giveaways that get hams (and non-hams) all worked up.
Joel-N3GSE
It would be nice to win an HT, I can’t afford to buy one.

Thanks for the opportunity.
COULD REALLY USE A HT RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
neat little radio, may have to just buy one.
Cool! I have wanted one of these radios!
Thanks for all the great contests!
would like to try this radio
I am out of the loop on this radio. Will search the Web for details and comments. Thank you for offering something new to me. Paul
My fiance is really into HAM radio and I would love to be able to join him. This radio would perfect. 🙂
This looks like a very nice little rig and would be a valuable addition to any radio kit. Also, testing of this radio by amateurs will spread the word that the radio is indeed FCC certified and a viable rig for amateur use in the US.
Great Radio!
Neat looking handi talkie. I am looking forward to winning it!
Nice prize.
TNX Ed, looks like a winner. Imperessed with the fact that it speaks the frequency for those hams with vision problems.
nice looking rig from a USA maker, i like this site, very informative
Hi, nice prize!
How about send to Ukraine?
73…
hello, thanks for allowing me to get your nice news letter and such., had great information on it for new guys . I am new to APRS and I did check out the util you did on your newsletter., nice util also.
Looks good I would like to try it
nice to have one to keep in the truck
Have a yeasu that’s not working right, can really use a new HT. Could use a new one for the truck instead of listening to the engine whine.
I know people who have this and love it.
I have heard good things about this rig. Good luck all!
Very nice of you to offer this. Being a new ham, this would certainly be appreciated.
Thanks & 73
A great way to introduce a new HT.
It would be great to win this interesting new HT (I looked at the specs!). I would use it as a prize for this October’s Boy Scout Jamboree On The Air – the biggest Scouting event in the Universe for 50+ years. Perhaps my fellow hams have a suggestion on how a prize winner could be determined. You can find our JOTA Team’s support site a kd5mhm dot org. I like the info I’ve been reading on this site and will have to become a “regular” here. I’ll be sharing this web address with my fellow hams as well, so they can have a chance at the HT prize too.
Very cool looking HT, really like the specs on it.
Looks like a nice radio, I could use one like that.
This is a great prize and I sure would like to have it. My Kenwood HT bit the dust.
73
I have been tempted to purchase one of these HT’s. If I win, I won’t have to.
I was looking at the 220 dualband version, but if i win i can test one out for free.73
Nice radio at a good price
A couple hams I know bought these, and they’re very impressed with them! I have some other single band chinese HT’s, and have had pretty good luck with them, too. Hey, if I can get this one for free, GREAT! 🙂 Been looking at this one for a while now! Fantastic!
I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS COMPANY OR PRODUCT – I AM GOING TO CHECK IT OUT – THANKS FOR THE CONTEST! 73
Looks nice.
Raymond Bishop, KD0MJI
At the price these units sell for, I’m surprised Ed can keep enough stock to give one away! Accessory prices quite reasonable also.
I hsve heard these radios on the air and, from all that I have heard, they seem to be excellent radios. The owners of them that I have had QSOs with seem to think that they are better made than a lot of the “other” well-known radio manufacturers models.
Wow, winning this would be a great birthday present to me!
Please enter me to win. Looks like a nicely designed site.
Thanks and ’73.
Phil

Tim B. in Bend Oregon
I am excited. Need a dual band HT.
Great prize; I went to their website and learned a lot I did not know about Wouxun. Now I am using Alinco, but hope I will be changing to Wouxun after I win this contest. KI4ACP

Meet the owner of Wouxun.us at Shelby ham fest. Very nice fellow and radio seemed to be solid. New to the ham arena Thought I would give this throw my hat in the ring and thanks to Wonxun.us for providing this nice prize to who ever wins.
I had been looking at this radio for a while now, my friend got one for his girlfriend, and loves it!
A friend bought one of these at Dayton. Nice looking radio! I wouldn’t mind having one for myself.
I could really use a nice HT like that for use on my CERT team.
Have been looking at these HT’s and they seem a great bang for the buck.
Just heard about the Wouxun Radio, and it seems like a great new entry into the Ham Radio Market.
Looks like a nicely affordable HT. Would love to try it out to see how well it works. Would be great to get a bunch of these to keep for deployments of our ARES/RACES group.
Hope to win. 73 KD0HCJ

WOW — Nice Prize!!!!
This is a real cool looking HT.
Great prize.
Who wouldn’t want a Wouxun?
With the economy being what it is and many losing there jobs
it’s great to have a chance at winning something.
Helps take your mind off the negative.
Thanks Ed,

WOOHOO! Pick me! Pick me!

Great, thank you!
Looks like a nice radio. I could use a backup.
Hi, I was looking at this same radio just the other day. Both my adult sons are hams and I thought I’d get them a dual band HT each to have in the car for “just in case” and fun.
Neat!
Interesting Radio. never Heard of the Manufacturer.
Awesome. Glad to see another producer of amateur radio products at a reasonable price.
looks like an interesting radio
What a great incentive to bring interested people into the fold! Looks like a great product as a prize.
Awesome way to introduce a new radio line to the US market.
Good way to get word out about a new radio manufacturer. Haven’t ever heard of them before.
Awesome site! The new HT looks and sounds promising I have heard several on echolink and some guys using them for sat’s. I am looking forward to testing one.
Thanks for your generosity and the introduction of a new available product line.
This could be my first HT.
Thanks!
It’d be fun to win a new radio!
I enjoy my VHF/220 version.
This dual band appears to be qualified for commercial use under Part 90.
Very nice! This would allow me to increase my loaner pool!
WOW!! I’d love one. My blind wife has one and loves it!! Now I want one.
With my youngest son now licensed as of this summer (KF7IBY), it would be great to have a dual-band HT in the family. This would enable us to communicate on both VHF and UHF. The HT looks like a great, durable unit.

Sign me up. Thanks & 73
I’m a newbie and need to get going. The unit sounds pretty good for short money.
